“Kyrie” is our exceptional Elite Hanoverian broodmare out of Weltbekannt and an imported Elite mare. Her sire is out of the legendary Weltmeyer, and her dam is out of the great Wenzel I, a line that is rarely found outside Germany any longer. Kyrie comes from a long heritage of high-scoring stallions that excel at all levels and disciplines and produce progeny that do the same, including Isabel Werth’s Olympic mount, Warum Nicht. Kyrie scored quite well at inspection, and she had a very successful dressage career, schooling third level successfully before her retirement due to a flare-up from an old injury.

She is very intelligent and trainable, not to mention comfortable to ride. Her gaits are large and expressive as well as smooth as silk. Her canter is a wonderful slow-motion rocking-horse movement with lovely jump and cadence. She naturally comes uphill and carries herself powerfully on her haunches, giving her ability for both collection and extension. Her more jumping-type conformation adds the wonderful versatility of jumping as well as dressage, always sought after in warmbloods. Both her colts have shown great jumping talent as well as supreme affinity for dressage. Her foals have been of exceptional quality in temperament and conformation.

Kyrie has a wonderful gregarious temperament. She is a big ham for attention, especially when carrots are around. She is quite level-headed, a great mount for the trails. She passes this on to her foals along with her great trainability. Her foals are sure to do well in competition and in pleasure.

Kyrie is confirmed in foal to the Knabstrup stallion Pegasus vom Niehaus-Hof for a Knabstrup foal. Pegasus has been in the lineup for the Paralympic competitions, and his foals here and in Germany have all been lovely. This foal will most certainly have loud color and will have exceptional movement and trainability. The foal will be registered as pure Knabstrup with the American Knabstrup Association and the KNN. The foal is available in utero by private treaty.
